Meet Studio, our new home for templates

A good template is more than a collection of movable boxes. It has rhythm, hierarchy, and a reason for every line of type. That is what makes it useful when you want to share a photograph without spending twenty minutes rebuilding a layout from scratch.

At the same time, a template should not make every photograph tell the exact same story. The useful details change from image to image. Sometimes the camera settings matter. Sometimes it is the place, the date, or a short caption. Sometimes you just want the frame and nothing else.

Studio is our answer to that tension. It preserves the composition we designed, then opens up the parts that should belong to you.

Inside Studio, the controls follow the template in front of you. Tap a photo to replace or frame it. Tap a text region to change what it says, which piece of metadata it shows, or how it looks. Templates only offer choices that fit their design, so it is much harder to wander into a layout that feels accidentally broken.

We also added a few faster ways to find a direction. Try a Look to change the mood of the whole design, or use a Content theme to shift the story toward a place, a camera, or the details of the exposure. You can still fine-tune any part afterward.

• Choose fonts, colors, text sizes, borders, and watermark treatments that suit the photograph.
• Highlight the location, camera, lens, exposure, or another detail that matters to the story.
• Apply a photo effect and adjust its strength without leaving the edit.
• Choose Fit or Fill on supported frames, then place the focus exactly where you want it.

Studio templates can hold more than one photo, and you can build an ordered carousel without treating every page like a separate project. Add a page, duplicate one you already like, or apply a template across a group of photos. The editing tools stay in the same place while you move through the sequence.

When it is time to export, TMPLT keeps the pages in order and saves the set as one item in your Library. Each Feed, Stories and Reels, or square carousel version is laid out for that format, so the design feels at home wherever you share it.

Studio gives us more room to create ambitious templates without handing you a more complicated editor. For you, that means more distinctive formats, more thoughtful choices, and a finished image that still feels like your photograph.

The goal is not customization for its own sake. It is to help you get from a photo to a finished story with fewer unnecessary decisions along the way.

We have moved the main TMPLT creation experience into Studio, and this is only the beginning. We are excited to see what you make with it.
