Privacy Policy
Effective: July 18, 2026
Introduction
AmbiMake LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates TMPLT as a freemium mobile application and maintains the TMPLT website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information from users of our app and website.
Information We Collect
Product Analytics
TMPLT is transitioning product analytics from TelemetryDeck to PostHog. Versions using PostHog send limited app-activity events using a random identifier assigned to the app installation. These events may include product interactions, app and device information, template or feature choices, and verified purchase attributes such as product, price, and currency. We do not send your photos, EXIF metadata, photo locations, text you enter, email address, name, precise location, or StoreKit transaction identifiers to PostHog. Automatic interaction capture, session replay, person profiles, and IP-derived location enrichment are disabled, and PostHog is configured to discard client IP addresses. Earlier app versions may continue to send anonymous usage and device information to TelemetryDeck; this can include camera make and model read from a selected photo, but not the photo itself.
Advertising Attribution
TMPLT uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. If you authorize tracking, the Meta (Facebook) SDK may collect the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) and app events to measure advertising performance. TMPLT also uses Apple's AdServices framework to measure Apple Ads attribution. Apple Ads attribution does not use the IDFA; an attribution token and TMPLT's random installation identifier are sent to our service so campaign results can be joined to app activity.
Purchases
Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. TMPLT receives the product and entitlement information needed to unlock features and may record limited verified purchase attributes in product analytics. Apple, not TMPLT, processes your payment details.
Website Analytics
The TMPLT website uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure anonymous, aggregated page visits and Vercel Speed Insights to collect real-user performance measurements such as Core Web Vitals. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies, and its daily visitor identifiers are not used to identify app users or track visitors across websites.
Third-Party Services
TMPLT uses the following service providers:
- PostHog — Privacy-minimized product analytics hosted in the United States
- TelemetryDeck — Legacy anonymous product analytics for earlier app versions during the transition to PostHog
- Meta (Facebook) SDK — ATT-gated advertising measurement
- Apple StoreKit and AdServices — Purchase processing and Apple Ads attribution
- Vercel — Website hosting, aggregated traffic analytics, and performance measurement
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Improve the functionality and performance of our app
- Personalize your experience
- Measure the effectiveness of our marketing
- Analyze usage patterns to make TMPLT better
Photo Processing & Privacy
TMPLT processes all photos locally on your device. Your photos are never uploaded to our servers. The EXIF metadata, location data, and other photo information stays on your device and is only used to generate templates that you choose to export.
Data Retention and Your Choices
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide TMPLT, analyze product performance, meet legal obligations, and protect our services. You can change tracking permission in iOS Settings and manage subscriptions through your Apple account. To request access to or deletion of information associated with you, contact us using the details below.
Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. Users must be at least 16 years old to use TMPLT. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 16, please contact us immediately.
Data Security
We use commercially acceptable means of protecting your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but strive to protect your information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date.
